Origins of the Six Million and other Fairy Tales

Interesting facts regarding the Six Million and the war propaganda that turned into the biggest business (and fraud) of all time. The fact is, the Allies (especially the Soviets) covered up their own war crimes in complicity with the intentions of the World Zionist Congress by declaring that the Germans (always referred to as NAZIS) had committed genocide on the Jews of Europe when in fact the German intention was ONLY deportation and were in negotiations with Britain up to the Normandy invasion as to where the Jews could be sent. Immediately after the war, newsreels and photos of emaciated bodies of the dead and near dead were published, declaring the Germans guilty of war crimes. In fact, starvation was rampant in Germany as a whole thanks to relentless and merciless Allied bombing of Germany which halted almost all food production and distribution. Read on:

Eisenhower, Churchill and De Gaulle, in their respective memoirs would refrain from mentioning the existence and operation of "Nazi gas chambers". Eisenhower's Crusade in Europe is a book of 559 pages; the six volumes of Churchill's Second World War total 4,448 pages; and De Gaulle's three-volume Mémoires de Guerre is 2,054 pages. In this mass of writing published from 1948 to 1959, which altogether totals 7,061 pages, one will find no mention either of Nazi "gas chambers", a "genocide" of the Jews, or of "six million" Jewish victims of the war. In the book "The Secret Dossier", prepared for Stalin from the interrogations of Hitlers personal staff, the same holds true - no mention of the gassing of the Jews.


Where did the "6 Million" figure originate?

The New York Times repeatedly gave out The Six Million Figure to everyone able to read. To quote just a few of those articles:

"[…] Authenticated reports point to 2,000,000 Jews who have already been slain by all manner of satanic barbarism, and plans for the total extermination of all Jews upon whom the Nazis can lay their hands. The
slaughter of a third of the Jewish population in Hitler’s domain (3?2,000,000=6,000,000) and the threatened slaughter of all is a holocaust without parallel." NYT 13 December 1942, p. 21

"Immediate action by the United Nations to save as many as possible of the five million Jews threatened with extermination […] was demanded at a mass demonstration […] in Madison Square Garden last night. […Rabbi Hertz said] ‘appalling is the fact that those who proclaim the Four Freedoms have so far done very little to secure even the freedom to live for 6,000,000 of their Jewish fellow men by readiness to rescue those who might still escape Nazi torture and butchery.'" NYT, 2 March, 1943, pp. 1, 4

"Forty thousand persons listened and watched […] last night to two performances of 'We Will Never Die,' a dramatic mass memorial to the 2,000,000 Jews killed in Europe. […] The narrator said ‘There will be no Jews left in Europe for representation when peace comes. The four million left to kill are being killed, according to plan.'" NYT, 10 March, 1943, p. 12

Some historians may claim that the The Six Million Figures traces it's roots to the wartime propaganda of 1942 and 1943. I am not sure that is correct, as I can prove that there are reasons to look for quotations from the time before World War II.

Chaim Weizmann, who was to become the first president of Israel, is very interesting in this context. On 25 November, 1936 he testified, as the president of the World Zionist Organization, in front of the Peel Commission (which was formed as a reaction to violent clashes between Jews and Arabs in Palestine). In his speech, Weizmann said:

“It is no exaggeration to say that six million Jews are sentenced to be imprisoned in this part of the world, where they are unwanted, and for whom the countries are divided into those, where they are unwanted, and those, where they are not admitted.”

Let us take note here that Weizmann seems to be exploiting the Holocaust (in the struggle against the Palestinians) three years before the outbreak of World War II! This does not mean that Weizmann was the inventor of The Six Million Number. We have to step further backwards in time.

Holocaust is a World War One word. Holocaust was used during and after World War One to describe what was going on in Europe and what allegedly happened to the Jews of Europe during and after that war. While the stories that are today referred to as "the Holocaust" were not called a holocaust during or even for decades after World War Two (in the 1950's by Poliakov or Reitlinger, for example).

The word "holocaust" was used while World War One was happening and thereafter. It was called "a holocaust", it was called "the greatest tragedy the world has ever known" and it was called "the greatest need the world has ever known".

No historians today believe in these stories and only a little more of them seem to know about them. Of course, all kind of people suffered in WWI Eastern Europe, but there are no signs that the Jews would have suffered much more than any other religious or ethnic group.

In 1917, the leader of the Jewish community in New York, Jacob Schiff, repeatedly called for an end to "this holocaust". In 1919, the American Hebrew magazine used the word holocaust in describing the plight of European Jewry in an article written under the byline of a former Governor of New York State. Yehuda Bauer, who wrote in My Brother’s Keeper, an authorized history of the Joint Distribution Committee of Jewish War Sufferers, that....

“[…] the destruction of European Jewry during World War Two has obliterated the memory of the first holocaust of the 20th century in the wake of the First World War".

Less than a month after the initial declarations of war in Europein in1914, plans were begun to organize an effort to help Jews living in the war affected areas. On 4 October, 1914, the Central Committee for the Relief of Jews Suffering Through the War was formed with Morris Engelman elected financial secretary and a day of prayer was proclaimed by President Woodrow Wilson. On 14 October, 1914, Louis Marshall, the president of the American Jewish Committee, called a meeting which resulted in the formation of the American Jewish Relief Committee with Louis Marshall as chairman and Felix Warburg as treasurer. On 27 November, 1914, the American Jewish Relief Committee and the Central Relief Committee organized the Joint Distribution Committee, electing Felix M. Warburg as chairman.

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee for Jewish War Sufferers, affectionately referred to by its supporters as the ‘Joint’, was also started in 1914 by the leaders of the American Jewish Committee in response to:

“[…] alarming news that reached the U.S. regarding the fate of eighty five thousand Jews of Palestine.”

There were then many Jews living in Palestine being subsidized by British Jews whose subsidies were interrupted by the war between Great Britain and Turkey, by then still in control of Palestine.

Felix Marshall, the long-time president of the American Jewish Committee, became its first president. Jacob Schiff made son-in-law Felix Warburg the first ‘Joint’ treasurer. On New Years Day of 1915, Felix Warburg, the Chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, organized a remittance or credit bureau supervised by his secretary, Harriet Lowenstein. In March of that year, the Central Relief Committee made arrangements with Henry Morgenthau, Woodrow Wilson’s ambassador to Turkey, to transmit funds to institutions in Palestine. In time, aid to Palestine, Greece, Egypt, and Syria was channelled through the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey.

The Price of Liberty, an authorized history of the American Jewish Committee, published in 1948, after World War Two was over, contains a chapter about World War One entitled, “The Holocaust of War”. This chapter mentions some of these World War One and post-war fund raising efforts and includes the following quote:

"As the armies rolled back and forth in desperate conflict over the borders of Poland, Galicia, and East Prussia, terror, desolation and death descended on the civilian population in general, but most of all upon the seven million Jews. The Christian Poles, Ruthenians and Germans suffered the inevitable hardships that attend all warfare; but the Jews, already proscribed by the Russians and Poles, met with a concentrated orgy of hatred, blood lust and vindictive opportunity that threatened to wipe them out in one vast holocaust."

In 1918, the American Jewish Congress was founded with the original goals of “providing humanitarian relief for European Jews who had suffered from the carnage of the war and restoring the State Of Israel to Palestine”. The American Jewish Congress saw itself as the voice of the eastern European Jews rather than the American Jewish Committee, whose members were mostly German Jews. Rabbi Stephen S. Wise was the major leadership figure of the American Jewish Congress during its formative period. Early on, Dr. Wise was known for his progressive ideas on general topics and also as an exponent of Zionism, a movement then contemplating the reestablishment of the Jewish nation.

As early as 1900, Wise is recorded telling a Zionist gathering that "there are 6,000,000 living, bleeding, suffering arguments in favor of Zionism" as reported in a New York Times article. NYT, 11 June, 1900, p7.

Interestingly in this context, Rabbi Wise was also very important in breaking the World War Two extermination stories to the American mainstream media through the New York Times. A New York Times article of 25 November, 1942 written under the byline of James MacDonald, has been mounted and displayed in the United States Memorial Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. It is titled:

“Himmler Program Kills Polish Jews. […] Officials of Poland Publish Data – Dr. Wise Gets Check Here by State Department.”

The first part of the article was based on a report issued on 24 November by the Polish government in exile in London, England, although details of the report had allegedly been previously printed in unnamed Palestine newspapers. It stated that in June of 1942 Himmler had visited Warsaw and ordered that half the Jews in Poland be killed by the end of the year and that this was being done throughout Poland and especially at Treblinka, Belzec, and Sobibor. There is no mention of Auschwitz.

Stephen S. Wise, who was still the president of the American Jewish Congress as well as chairman of the World Jewish Congress, is the source of the second half of the article “Wise Gets Confirmations-Checks With State Department on Nazis’ Extermination Campaign.” Wise said that he had learned through unnamed sources confirmed by the State Department “that about half the estimated 4,000,000 Jews in Nazi-occupied Europe had been slain in an extermination campaign” and that “the plan was drafted by Herman Backe, Secretary of State for Economics, and was put into effect by Hitler by late summer.”

Was Rabbi Wise the first one to mention The Six Million Number, when he appealed for charity in the summer of 1900? We cannot know for sure.

Few people might believe that The Six Million Figure was hammered into the minds of people by the media already during WWI and the years around 1920. And as we can see from the last two quotations below the story went on – at least sparsely – seemingly unhindered until the next great war in Europe:

In 1938, “a depressing picture of 6,000,000 Jews in Central Europe deprived of protection or economic opportunities, slowly dying of starvation, all hope gone” was presented by Jacob Tarshis, known by his radio audience as the Lamplighter, representing the American Joint Distribution Committee:

“‘The Jewish tragedy started when Hitler came to power in 1933,’ Mr. Tarshis declared. ‘Now anti-Semitism has spread to thirteen European nations, and threatened the very existence of millions of Jews.”

In 1940, Dr. Nahum Goldman, chairman of the administrative committee of the World Jewish Congress, said in an interview at the Hotel Astor that:

“Six million Jews in Europe are doomed to destruction, if the victory of Nazis should be final. […] The chances for mass emigration and resettlement of European Jewry seems to be remote, and European Jews face the danger of physical annihilation. Even the 4,000,000 Jews under Soviet rule, although free from racial discrimination, are not safe in the event of a final Nazi victory.”

At the time of Nahum Goldman's outcry, World War II had already begun, and the epic story of the Big Number would soon be getting up even more steam.

Under the thrust of revisionist research, the "establishment" historians have step by step had to concede the following:

- that there was neither an order, nor a plan, nor a budget for the alleged genocide of the jews (see Raul Hilberg, The Destruction of the European Jews, 1985 edition, pages 53, 55, 62, and also confirmed by him at a lecture in 1983 and again at the Zundel trial in Toronto, 1985)

- that "Wannsee" was at best only a "silly story" (Yehuda Bauer, Hebrew scholar, "The public still repeats, time after time, the silly story that at Wannsee the extermination of the Jews was arrived at" Canadian Jewish News, 20 January 1992)

- that there existed no specialist's report on the weapon of the crime (i.e. gas chamber)

- that there is not one autopsy that would allow us to conclude "This is the corpse of a deportee killed by poison gas".

- that the confessions of Rudolf Hoess was no longer valid ("Hoess was always a very weak and confused witness" - Prof Christopher Browning, contributor to the Encyclopedia of the Holocaust, to Christopher Hitchens, Vanity Fair, December 1993)

- that their alleged witnesses had probably never seen gas chambers or gassings, in as much that the best of them, Rudolf Vrba, in 1985, had been obliged to admit before a Canadian judge and jury that in his famous book on the subject ( "I Cannot Forgive") that he had made use of "poetic licence" (Zundel trial, Toronto, 1985, transcript pp1447-1448,1636)

- that the "Jewish soap" never existed (a case of RIP rather than RIF perhaps) ("The Nazis never made soap from human fat" - Shmuel Krakowski, archives director Yad Vashem, & Prof. Yehuda Bauer, Jewish Post 5 May 1990)

- that the figure of 4 million victims at Auschwitz was only a fiction (Jean-Claude Pressac puts the total number of deaths at Auschwitz between 630,000 and 710,000, which includes 470-550,000 Jews gassed - 1994 edition of his magnus opus).

-that the "sources for the study of the gas chambers are at once rare and unreliable.....Besides from 1942 to 1945, certainly at Auschwitz, but probably overall, more Jews were killed by so-called 'natural' causes than by 'unnatural' ones" (Arno J Mayer, "Why Did The Heavens Not Darken", 1988 pp 362,365).

So all that the exterminationists are left with are the "eyewitnesses" - oh, dear!

Elan Steinberg, Executive Director of the World Jewish Congress, when discussing accusations of atrocities against Germans:

"The problem is, when you investigate something as serious as this, you can not rely on eyewitnesses who, even with the best of intentions, with the best of intentions, can give you misleading information".

Let's look at the specifics of so-called "eyewitnesses" to alleged gassings; here are just a few examples.

- "eyewitness" Yankel Wiernik claimed: 1200 people could fit into a 7 X 7 m gas chamber; bodies of women were used for kindling; bodies burned on their own once lit; he saw a naked Jewish girl jump a 3m (9 ft.) high barbed wire fence, wrench the rifle out of the hands of a pursuing guard and shoot two other guards; that 900,000 Jews were gassed, buried, exhumed, cremated and all traces disappeared; a Russian diesel tank engine was used for gassings.

- an "eyewitness" stated that the alleged poison gas had a delayed action, it allowed the victims to leave the gas chambers and walk to the mass graves by themselves - from: Reports of the Polish Underground, Archiv der Polnischen Vereinigten Arbeiterpartei, 202/III,v.7,pp.120f.,quoted in: P. Longerich, op. cit.(note 271), p. 438.

- so called "eyewitness" Daniel Bennahmias claimed that the alleged gas chambers walls were PAINTED after each gassing. If true, this would have simply 'locked in' the HCN in the mortar and concrete. There is no significant cyanide residue to be found which would indicate mass gassings as alleged. He also claims that he was one of the alleged 'sonderkommandos'; they were supposedly in charge of moving bodies from the alleged gas chambers. The story goes that all sonderkommandos were murdered in order to silence them and to keep the “exterminations secret”. Daniel Bennahmias was not killed and was in fact given a choice of staying in Auschwitz to await the 'liberating' Soviets, or to leave with the SS in retreat; he chose to go with the SS!

- According to Alexander Pechersky, gassings at Sobibor took place via a black heavy substance which exited in spirals from holes in the roof. Then the floor of the gas chamber opened up, and the bodies fell directly into wagons placed in the basement.

- Filip Mueller, whose laughable best seller "Sonderbehandlung" Raul Hilberg quotes no less than 20 times as a source in his standard work about the "Holocaust" described how he ate cake in a cyanide-saturated gas chamber

- Former inmate, Moshe Peer, recalled a miraculous escape from death as an eleven-year-old in the camp. In a 1993 interview with a Canadian newspaper, the French-born Peer claimed that he

"was sent to the camp gas chamber at least six times...maybe children resist better, I don't know." Gazette, Montreal, Canada, 5 August, 1993

- The vacuum chamber...former Treblinka prisoner Samuel Rajzman testified that during the time he was in Treblinka, Jews were "suffocated to death" there with a machine that pumped air out of death chambers. (Rajzman text in: Yuri Suhl, ed., They Fought Back, New York, 1967, p. 130.)

- Gas chambers on wheels in Treblinka, which dumped their victims directly into burning pits, from: Reports of the Polish underground movement, Archiv der Polnischen Vereinigten Arbeiterpartei, 202/III, v. 7, pp. 120f., quoted in: P. Longerich, op. cit. (note 271), p. 438

- "eyewitness" Arnold Friedman stated that he (and four others at the same time) 'survived' by breathing through a keyhole in the 'gas chamber' door at Flossenberg. (The official view now is that there were no homicidal gas chambers at this camp).

- Ada Bimko (now Hadassah Rosensaft of the Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington DC) testified to being shown the huge cylinders of gas in a room above the gas chamber by an SS officer!

- SS raced bicycles in the gas chamber of Birkenau, from Nürnberger Nachrichten, Sept. 11, 1978, report about eyewitness testimony in the jury court trial in Aschaffenburg

- Auschwitz inmate, Regina Bialek stated:

I was made to undress and taken by lorry to a gas chamber. There were seven gas chambers at Auschwitz. This particular one was underground and the lorry was able to run down the slope and straight into the chamber. Here we were tipped unceremoniously on the floor. The room was about 12 yards square and small lights on the wall dimly illuminated it. When the room was full a hissing sound was heard coming from the centre point on the floor and gas came into the room. After what seemed about ten minutes some of the victims began to bite their hands and foam at the mouth, and blood issued from their ears, eyes and mouth, and their faces went blue. I suffered from all these symptoms, together with a tight feeling at the throat. I was half conscious when my number was called out by Dr. Mengele and I was led from the chamber. I attribute my escape to the fact that the daughter of a friend of mine who was an Aryan and a doctor at Auschwitz had seen me being transported to the chamber and had told her mother, who immediately appealed to Dr. Mengele.

- In the book, 'Lest We Forget', it describes how Jews were steamed to death, and provides a diagram showing the location of the purported boiler room that produced the live steam. - 'Lest We Forget', World Jewish Congress (New York, 1943) pp 4, 6-7.

- The Polish govt. "conclusively proved" the Germans operated steam death chambers. They carried out "an on site, expert examination of the steam chambers," submitting an "expert report" to the Nuremberg Tribunal - Nuremberg Trial Document 3311-PS, IMT "blue series"/1947-1949), vol.32, pp.152-158

Here's more real "evidence" - killing in vacuum chamber, with steam, or chlorine gas, from: W. Grossmann, Die Hölle von Treblinka (The Hell of Treblinka), Verlag für fremdsprachige Literatur, Moscow 1947; The Black Book of Polish Jewry, Roy Publishers, New York 1943.

"There was a blue haze after gassing with hydrocyanic acid" (the gas from Zyklon B is actually colourless) - R. Böck, Frankfurt Public Prosecutor's Office, Ref. 4 Js 444/59, pp. 6881f.

“In retreat the stationary gas chambers in the eastern part of the camp were restructured, even little turrets and other architectural embellishments were added so that they would look like innocent garages." - ‘The Factory of Death at Auschwitz’ Boris Polevoi, Pravda, 1945

"…It is not necessary to ask oneself how, technically, such a mass murder was possible. It was technically possible since it took place. Such is the point of departure required of any historical enquiry on the subject. This truth obliges us to state quite simply: there is not, there cannot be, any debate on the existence of the gas chambers." - from a declaration, published in Le Monde, 21 February, 1979. Written by Pierre Vidal-Naquet and Léon Poliakov. And signed by 34 "historians"

And so it goes with each and every "eyewitness" to alleged gassings and their supporters. Their stories are patently absurd; but if you don't believe in them and express that belief, in some European countries you will be imprisoned for your beliefs.

Lets add Dr. Stefan Szende, a Swedish-based Jew of Hungarian origin. Here he describes the alleged mass extermination at the Belzec camp as follows:

"The death factory comprises an area approximately 7 km in diameter... The trains filled with Jews entered a tunnel into the underground rooms of the execution factory... The naked Jews were brought into gigantic halls. Several thousand people at one time could fit into these halls. The halls had no floor.

The floor was of metal and was submergible. The floors of these halls, with their thousands of Jews, sank into a basin of water which lay beneath - but only far enough so that the people on the metal plate were not entirely under water. When all the Jews on the metal plate were in the water up to over their hips, electrical current was sent through the water. After a few moments, all the Jews, thousands at once, were dead. Then they raised the metal plate out of the water. On it lay the corpses of the murder victims.

Another shock of electrical current was sent through, and the metal plate became a crematory oven, white hot, until all the bodies were burnt to ashes... Each individual train brought three to five thousand, sometimes more, Jews.

There were days on which the lines to Belzec supplied twenty or more trains. Modern technology triumphed in the Nazi system. The problem of how to execute millions of people, was solved." Stefan Szende, Der letze Jude aus Polen, Europa Verlag, Zurich-New York, 1945, p. 290 ff.

Caution! In some European countries you could be arrested and imprisoned for questioning this.

Dr C S Bendel was French, interned for "political and racial reasons" and testified during the Tesch case (Public Records Office, London, WO235/83). Said there were 900 men in the Sonderkommandos. Said 1 million were gassed at Birkenau from 1 January, 1944 to 18 January, 1945 (his time there); 4 million altogether during the camp's existence. (NB The latest official figure now says between 1.1 to 1.5 million in total died from 1940 to 1945. They also say that the alleged gassings ceased in November 1944.) During June 1944, almost 25,000 day were being gassed, he alleged. The SS packed people in 1 or 2,000 at a time, he said, and tossed in young children above the packed heads when the chamber was full. He was asked: Were the people dressed or undressed at the time? "They were naked." How tall was the room? "About 5 feet 8 inches." He said that the screaming lasted two minutes. Two tins of Zyklon B were sufficient for a thousand people, he testified.

Of the Sonderkommandos, Bendel claimed that 200 were gassed on 27 September, 1944, and 500 more shot during a disturbance.

Cross-examined, he admitted that the chambers were 10 x 4 meters by 1 meter 60cm, or a total of 64 cubic metres. He could not explain how they could get 1,000 people into that space. He volunteered: "It can only be done by the German method." And then more mystically, "The four million people who were gassed in Auschwitz are the witnesses."

As for his claim that the Nazis had extracted seventeen tons of Gold from the victims, when told that this meant that on average each person had 4gr of gold in their mouths. "It depended on the state of their teeth or their dentures."

There are many, many more absurd stories that I could document, but it does not take too long to find them, if you have the will to do so. I will finish at this point with some apposite quotes from the communist Jew, Bruno Baum, himself a member of the 'partisans', who boasted after the war:

“The whole propaganda which started about Auschwitz abroad was initiated by us with the help of our Polish comrades.” (Bruno Baum, Wir funken aus der Hölle in Deutsche Volkszeitung - Zentralorgan der KPD, Berlin 31.7.1945)

“It is no exaggeration when I say that the majority of all Auschwitz propaganda, which was spread at that time all over the world, was written by ourselves in the camp.” (Bruno Baum, Widerstand in Auschwitz, E. Berlin 1957, p.34)

“We carried out this propaganda in [for] the world public until our very last day of presence in Auschwitz.” (Bruna Baum, as previous, p. 35)
