Over the past few years there has been increasing discussion in the government and among special interests to clamp down on free speech in the press and on the Internet. Committees have been trying to pass laws like HR1955, the Fairness Doctrine and the Anti-Hate Speech bills that will effectively muzzle all discourse that is contrary to offically sanctioned and politically correct orthodoxy, by claiming that any who engage in such discussion are extremists, terrorists and hate groups. We all have much to fear if these laws are allowed to pass.
